AYLUS Basking Ridge Joins Regional Chamber of Commerce during Christmas Celebration

Wreaths and garlands strung on either side of Main Street, passersby lingering around Christmas trees for sale at the doorstep of the local church, laughter and carols ringing down the pavement and blanketing the town in holiday cheer…

It’s a beautiful Saturday morning, and downtown Basking Ridge is ready for the winter season. As an audience gathers on the grassy median in the town center, the Basking Ridge Volunteer Fire Company begins the difficult yet spirited task of setting up the town Christmas tree. Meanwhile, a group of AYLUS Basking Ridge members has picked up their bows and instruments near a local shop, ready to share some holiday music. People walk by to gaze at the firemen and the towering tree, but they pause for a moment to enjoy the familiar notes of “White Christmas” and “Deck the Halls” emanating from the small white porch.

Sarah Ouyang, Juliet Bu and Stephanie Lu were invited by Mr. Al Licata, the director of the Bernards Township Regional Chamber of Commerce, to perform holiday music at the annual Basking Ridge Christmas tree setup event. The event was live-streamed to Facebook, the link of which can be found here.
