AYLUS San Diego continues Language Challenge Camp (40th) on Third Week of November 2020

During the third week in November, AYLUS San Diego Branch volunteers continued their Language Challenge Camp Program. The program allows volunteers to provide English/Chinese reading, writing, speaking, and communication to their students, and also to teach students foreign languages such as Spanish.
They had conversations over Zoom or Facetime, teaching students about topics they are interested in, such as movies, games, and school. Volunteers placed an emphasis on helping their students grow accustomed to speaking and writing in the taught language. Their language challenge camp activities included:

Haobin Cao taught his student Alice Yang Chinese for an hour and a half on Saturday, 11/21.
Andrew Chen taught his students Linda Yang, Darren Cui, and Tony Yi English writing for third graders on Saturday, 11/21, for one and a half hours.

Edward Liu tutored Joanne Liu and Daniel Wang on English Writing for 5th graders on Saturday, 11/21, for one and a half hours.

In total, there were 9 participants in this event, with 3 volunteers.

The AYLUS San Diego Committee organized the 40th online Language Challenge Camp activity on November 21th, 2020.
