On April 26th, 2020, AYLUS San Diego elects their new 2020-2021 branch Committee. This event was organized by AYLUS San Diego committee parent Jane Tian and volunteer parent Huiyu Qian.
Prior to the actual election, all potential candidates were asked to submit a pdf application. Two days before the election, the Voters were able to see the applications posted, and required to thoroughly read all candidate applications before participating in the election.
As the event began, over twenty volunteers and volunteer parents gathered on a Zoom online conference. After a brief speech given by Jane Tian, nonvoters were moved to a separate room, while voters remained in the main room. Then, the zoom automatic voting feature was used, in order to have impartial and fair votes. The voting was organized by Huiyu Qian and supervised by AYLUS San Diego Branch Treasurer Kyne Xie
After the voting has concluded, all participants (voters and candidates alike) were moved back to the main group. There, AYLUS San Diego Branch Treasurer Kyne Xie announced the winners of the election, as follows:

Eric Lin – Treasurer
Jonathan Backues – Director of Public Relations
