Last week, the Houston branch shifted the STEAM Challenge Camp online for the first time! Using Microsoft Teams, a video conferencing software, students read and discussed articles from The Atlantic about human impacts on the environment in Iberia and Mozambique. They also gained a basic foundation of mathematical proofs, the next unit in the camp, exploring strategies such as induction, contradiction, and cases. This topic builds off of a foundation set throughout the year while shifting the focus from reaching an answer to demonstrating one’s work. Enjoy the pictures from the last few weeks!
