On August 17th, 2018, students from the San Diego Branch of AYLUS organized and participated in the 37th Computer for Kids Lab, repairing and cleaning electronic devices in order to prepare them to send to children of low-income families. This helps the kids achieve academic success through possible access to technology.
In three hours, the participants did the following:

174 Hard Drives Scanned & Prepared for Distribution

275 Putting Sleeves on Tablets

818 Adapters for Tablets Sorted & Wrapped

54 Hard Drives Tested & Sanitized

67 Hard Drives Cloned

1 Laptop Tested and Prepared for Distribution

33 Monitors Tested & Cleaned – Prepared for Distribution
So far, the San Diego branch students have accomplished the following since the first Computer for Kids Lab started:
- Diagnosed, repaired, tested, or sleeved 3,465 notebooks/netbooks/laptops/tablets/desktops
- Tested and repaired 141 LCD monitors
- Diagnosed, tested, wiped, counted, and cloned 3,192 hard drives
- Wrapped/folded, sorted, and packed 7,080 mice, and power cords/adaptors
- Tested and Bagged 125 Speakers
