On August 9th, the Houston Branch organized, sorted, and counted all the school supplies that were collected throughout the entire summer! Furthermore, the members went out to the local neighborhood to raise more funds in order to buy more supplies to help resupply and support the students of Westwood Elementary. In total the AYLUS Houston Branch collected over 4,500 items that were all donated to Westwood.
On August 11th, the Houston Branch went down to Westwood Elementary early morning to deliver the supplies. They were greeted with much appreciation from the teachers and even the principal, Mrs. Kay Kennard. As a sign of gratitude, Mrs. Kennard wrote a very heartfelt letter to the AYLUS Houston Branch with high hopes of support and cooperation in the future!
