Daniel Wei, one of the members in the Houston Branch, has opened up a new English Writing Class! On June 23rd, 2018, Daniel led a tutoring session for 4 young students! This is what they accomplished in the 4th lesson.
Today, we completed our first persuasive writing essay! We will review what we did last lesson and the various persuasive techniques one can implement into his or her essay. Given a prompt, the students were instructed to write another persuasive essay on it. After that, we will discuss the homework. The homework that I assigned for the students this week were the 14 words we learned in class, to read 18 pages from The Phantom Tollbooth, and 25 pages from the Non-Fiction book that each student had of their own choice.
