On May 26, the AYLUS Columbus Branch performed at the Senior Star. In addition to performing the normal group of seniors, the volunteers also performed to seniors with Alzheimer’s and other mental illnesses for the first time. Volunteers included Claire Li on piano, Jason Guo on cello and saxophone, Aidan Li on piano, Amy Xuan on viola, Dustin He on piano, and Stanley Cao on piano. After a well received performance to the first group of seniors, the kids went to a different section of the senior center to perform for seniors with mental illnesses. It was a different experience for the volunteers, but they enjoyed playing for them. It was a very musical evening.
