Young Musicians of East Cobb Branch Performed at Sunrise and Arbor Terrace Senior Centers

On February 10th, young musicians of East Cobb Branch performed at Sunrise and Arbor Terrace senior livings in a raining day. In the two hours performance, the team has quartet, violin solo, flute solo, piano with classical and light music.

Music for Seniors connects young musicians with older adults through live and interactive music programs designed to engage, entertain and educate seniors – promoting health and wellbeing, reducing isolation and enriching the lives of all participants. The senior assistance told us that an elder who hasn’t said anything in months, suddenly smiled in recognition and started to sing during the performance.

Our programs span a wide variety of music and genres focusing on the tastes, preferences and needs of the older adults whose lives we touch. Audience engagement and interaction are built into our delivery model.

Attendance: Raymond Jiang (Violin), Michael Fu (Violin), Asad Yamin (Violin), Russel Emetine (Viola), Nick Vincent (Cello), Alex Lunn (Cello), Eric Yao(Piano), Howard Hua(Flute).
