San Diego Branch Organized 18th Computer for Kids Lab on January 12, 2018

On January 12, 2018, students from the San Diego Branch of AYLUS organized and participated in the  18th Computer for Kids Lab to repair computers and give them to children of low-income families to help kids achieve academic success through technology.
The students tested, repaired, and cleaned 85 LCD monitors. They sorted, cleaned, wrapped, and boxed 525 power adaptors ready for computer distribution.
So far, the San Diego branch students have accomplished the following since the first Computer for Kids Lab started:
  • Diagnosed, repaired, and tested 3,165 notebooks/netbooks/laptops/desktops
  • Tested and repaired 1,153 LCD monitors
  • Diagnosed and tested 426 hard drives
  • Boxed 150 netbooks for distribution
  • Blown out and cleaned 12 computers
  • Folded and packed 4,111 mice and power cords 
  • Wrapped, sorted, and packaged 3,089 notebook adapters
All the laptops/netbooks/notebooks will be donated to children of needed families so they can have a computer to work at home.
The following students participated in the 18th Computer for Kids Lab: David He, Enoch Huang, Anthony Jiang, Claire Jiang,  David He, Chengming Li, Chengda Li,  Eric Li, William Sun, Joshua Trout, Leon Wang, Gary Wu, Richard Wu, Kyne Xie, Eric Xu, Jason Xu, Ricky Xu, Alan Zhu, and Brian Zhu.
Stephen Yang, Christopher Yang, and Raymond Li organized this 18th Computer for Kids Lab event.
