Young Musicians Share Wonderful Chamber Music at Local Senior Residential Centers

A day after record-snowfall struck metro Atlanta area, our young musicians from East Cobb Branch of AYLUS performed 3 hours in two local senior residential homes in the afternoon of Dec 09, 2017.

A total of 9 talented members played at Atria Johnson Ferry, and Sunrise of East Cobb. All of us had an amazing experience serving our community through wonderful music.

We had various-sized groups, such as a flute, saxophone, and piano solo, a string quartet, and played works of classical holiday music, such as O Little Town of Bethlehem, Joy to the World, Silent Night, I Wish You a Merry Christmas, etc. and classical piano of Beethoven, Chopin, and more.

In these beautiful senior living centers, the residents were very welcoming, and it brought us great joy to see their eyes light up and their feet tap to the music. One resident is already 100 years old! Her assistant told us that she was very touched by the music and thought our playing brought her memory when she was young. Knowing that our music brought more color and joy to the senior citizens’ afternoons gave us great pleasure.

The members who attended today’s performance are: Raymond Jiang(Violin), Daniel Shu(Violin), Michael Fu(Violin), Russel Emerine(Viola), Eric Wang(Viola), Cody Wang(Cello), Howard Hua(Flute), Hiroki Sato(Saxophone), Eric Yao(Piano).
