The Houston Branch Supports Flood Victims and Volunteers (Day 5)

After Hurricane Harvey’s departure, numerous families were left with nothing to go home to. In response, the Houston Branch has continued to serve those who have been displaced and those who are volunteering to aid others. On September 8th, the Houston Branch has continued strongly in their food distribution project to provide free meals, cut fruit, water, snacks, and drinks to aid the local neighborhood.

We would like to express our appreciation to the many restaurants who have donated meals, such as Panda Express, Ling’s Restaurant, E-Star Buffet, and more. Despite the extremely hot Texas sun, being able to see our neighbors’ smiles as they receive food is truly amazing and makes all of our efforts worth it. In total, the Houston Branch donated around 370 meals!

Thanks to Leanne Wu, Kelly Wu, Sophia Jiang, Rachel Yuan, Aaron Tsui, Jacky Jiang, Kevin Jiang, Eric Li, Nathan Yuan, Ethan Liu, Eve Wang, Jonathan Liu, and all the parents who helped prepare and distribute meals!
