On September 5th, over 60 volunteers from the AYLUS Pearland Branch went to create supplies for a Houston elementary school recently flooded. Hundreds of people attended this event at Southwest Multi-service Center and over 20,000 individual items were packed and prepared. Each volunteer had different roles and worked together to create 1136 backpacks for those students in need. They spent many hours unloading items and sorting items into neat rows. These backpacks will be sent to William Sutton Elementary school and distributed to each student on September 9, 2017.
