During April 2017, the Metro Detroit Branch members collected nearly 3000 recyclable cans and bottles from their neighbors. They distributed flyers around their neighborhood. They then used the funds collected by bottle returns to purchased 18 big boxes of baby diapers, which counted for 2300 diapers. On May 17th, the members delivered the diapers to Judson Center, a non-profit organization which provide services for kids with autism, kids in foster care and adoption, and adults with Disabilities and Mental Health issues. The members who participated in this event were Mitchell Chang, Edison Chiu, Daniel Kong, Daivi Nie, Jason Nie, Sean Li, Elayni Liu, Jeremy Liu, Spencer Liu, Justin Luo, Michael Song, Bright Xu, Freddie Zhao, Andrew Zheng, Kevin Zhong. Their efforts for this event was greatly appreciated by Justin Center.
