On January 3rd, The Houston Branch hosted a college readiness information session for parents and students.
The session was led by two seniors. Clio Sun, president of the Houston AYLUS Branch, with multiple leadership positions including FBLA’s Texas State’s Vice President, and has won many awards from Science Olympiad. She will be attending the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Business School this fall.
Secondly, Thomas Xiong, who has accumulated myriads of accomplishments in the science field. He has been national champion numerous times, and also was one of the four competitors to represent the U.S. and won a gold medal at the International Biology Olympiad last year. He has been accepted into Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
The presentation included talks on the application process, how to organize time to best of one’s advantage, and how to generally manage high school.
