Fairfax branch led by George Cao launched food drive on Nov 15 and Nov 22.
As Thanksgiving approached we felt obligated to do something for the unfortunate people in need. We decided to do a food drive, an idea initiated by the headquarters, and started planning. We made posters and set up two stands at our local chinese school. We held the Food Drive event over the course of two weeks. The first week was to spread the word through social media, newspapers, and at school by passing out flyers and setting up visual stands. Our second week was to collect all of the food donated, and finally, we delivered it to the food bank.
We are really proud of our work. We would also like to thank the support given from Hope Chinese School and the parents. I also attached some pictures from the event to share with you.
